Preparation
Before you start connecting the DALI dimming power supply, you need to prepare the following tools and materials:
DALI dimming power supply
LED lamps
DALI controller
DALI bus cable
Power cord
Wire connector
Screwdriver and other necessary tools
Make sure all equipment and materials are complete and functioning properly to avoid unnecessary interruptions during installation.
Â
Step 1: Understand the DALI system structure
DALI system usually consists of the following parts:
DALI controller: responsible for sending control signals.
DALI dimming power supply: receives control signals and adjusts the brightness of LED lamps.
DALI bus cable: used to connect DALI controller and DALI dimming power supply.
LED lamps: lighting equipment controlled by DALI dimming power supply.
Â
Step 2: Connect the DALI bus
Wiring: Lay out the DALI bus cable according to the system design and ensure that the bus cable can be connected to all DALI dimming drivers and DALI controllers.
Connect the DALI controller: Connect the two wires (D+ and D-) of the DALI bus cable to the D+ and D- terminals of the DALI controller respectively.
Connect the DALI dimming driver: Connect the D+ and D- ends of the DALI bus cable to the D+ and D- terminals of each DALI dimming driver respectively.
Note: The DALI bus is non-polar, which means that D+ and D- can be connected interchangeably without affecting the normal operation of the system.
Â
Step 3: Connect the power cable
Ensure safety: Before connecting the power cable, make sure that the power is disconnected to avoid the risk of electric shock.
Connect the power input: Connect the power cable to the power input terminal of the DALI dimming driver (usually marked with L and N). Make sure the connection is firm and not loose.
Ground wire connection: Connect the ground wire to the ground terminal of the dimming driver (marked with G or ground symbol) to ensure safe operation of the equipment.
Â
Step 4: Connect LED lamps
Check compatibility: Make sure the LED lamps are compatible with the DALI dimming driver.
Connect the output: Connect the output of the DALI dimming driver (marked as + and -) to the input of the LED lamp. Make sure the positive and negative poles are connected correctly to avoid damage to the lamp.
Â
Step 5: Test and debug
Power-on test: After powering on, use the DALI controller to test whether each DALI dimming driver and the connected LED lamp are working properly. Check the response of the lamps one by one to ensure that the dimming function is normal.
Address allocation: Use the DALI controller to assign a unique address to each DALI dimming driver to ensure that each device in the system can be controlled individually.
System debugging: According to actual needs, adjust the brightness and dimming curve of each lamp to ensure that the lighting effect meets expectations.
